Weekend Fun

Yippee! We are now social again, as evidenced by the goods time had by all this weekend. (Just agree with me, folks). :)

I got a little crazy and set up a couple of things at my house this weekend. On Friday, my good friends Anna and Doug came over to watch a movie. We lured them with promises of popcorn, but ended up feeding them peach crisp. They seemed okay with that bait and switch. :) Doug brought over Adam Sandler's new movie entitled "Bedtime Stories." I won't do a lengthy review a la the "Yes Man" post, but suffice it to say, it was cuter and sweeter than I had anticipated. The movie is definitely geared towards kids, but there was enough funny elements in the movie to make us chuckle pretty much all the way through it.

Saturday we invited my brother Jon, brother-in-law Scott, and friend Claire over to play disc golf. If you remember, Saturday was pretty wet and my broda Jon was going to cancel because he didn't want to play in the cold. (Pansy!) But we lured them over with the promises of board games. We played Nuclear War and EuroRails while watching the Jazz lose. We had a great time, despite the sad basketball score.

Sunday we went to the Palmers and helped them make dinner. Then we pulled out Nuclear War, which they hadn't seen before and their interest in the game was high. We ended up playing that game until 11:30 p.m. That game really is a blast. If anyone knows where I can get my own game, let me know!
