Alicia and Gilmore Girls

Yesterday I went and hung out with my sister-in-law, Alicia, shown here with her husband, Jeff. I'm not sure how the connection was made, but we discovered that we are each fans of Gilmore Girls and that our husbands each are not fans. So we decided to have a little get-together and watch a couple of episodes.

I made my way to their lovely home eventually. Despite the very good directions that Alicia gave me, I panicked at the last minute and went the wrong way, completely. What is it with directions? I was following the directions very closely, mentally cheering as each landmark on her map was realized. When I was within 100 feet of her house, I started to lose it. Do I turn left/right? I was trying to follow the directions, but my brain started making independent decisions from the map. Ah, well. I found it eventually.

We had a fun time. Alicia had homemade soup for us for dinner. I bought focaccia bread at Smith's. We made popcorn and watched some episodes. We're planning on doing it again soon, if anyone out there is a closet Gilmore Girls watcher.
