Random Updates in our Life

Okay, so we clearly haven't been the best at this blog thing. I've decided that I want to put more effort in it because I want to have a blog for me. And I love hearing updates from you, when you get around to it. :)

First of all, my baby sister got married! It was a great day and we're glad she married such a great guy. Being parents, we of course don't have tons of pictures of the bride and groom. We have tons of pictures of our kids. Enjoy.

Bride and groom with our girls. I'll bet this is the best picture they got of them, as well. :)

Flower girls together! Nieces are the best!

I included this picture because I thought it was hilarious that Mari would try to eat a box. She was only in that chair for 30 seconds or less, but you've got to take advantage of the situation, I guess.

Trying to be good about including more pictures of me. Here is me in my green bridesmaid dress. "You are hilarious!"

The photographer tried hard to get a cute picture of the flower girls.

But this is basically what she would get.

Can you tell Brent is the photographer in the family?

But I loved this picture. Awwww...

And for those of you who made it to the very end, a random story for you. We've been teaching Addy that she can't just swipe toys from Mari. If Mari has a toy that Addy wants, Addy has to provide a substitute toy that interests Mari, and then she can take the toy. Without segue, we've also had Addy sitting at the table for quite some time, with Mari in the high chair. Addy gets a smaller plate and a salad fork, while Brent and I get larger plates and dinner forks. Yesterday at dinner, Addy leaned over to me and smilingly handed me her fork. I immediately started praising her for sharing, until I realized that she was swiping my larger fork. She had pacified me with the smaller fork and gotten what she wanted. Well played, Addy. :)

Inauguration Ham

Here at work we've been having an Inauguration Party. We had presidential potatoes, senatorial salad, Barack Biscuits, and Inauguration ham. Everything was...delicious. We sat around at work, watching the presidential parade. Four blocks took about 30 minutes and it got a little boring hearing the commentators trying to think of new things to say.

I'm posting some random pictures from our wedding. These are just pictures that I happen to like. We've got a zillion of them, so I'm sure you'll see more soon.

Here is us coming out of the temple. Don't we look so cute? Awww...
